Use TokenRex with Cline

Use TokenRex as a custom OpenAI-compatible provider in Cline.

Before you start

  • A TokenRex API key
  • A version of the app that accepts a custom OpenAI-compatible base URL

Step-by-step setup

  1. 1

    Open Cline settings and choose OpenAI Compatible as the API provider.

  2. 2

    Set Base URL to https://tokenrex.ai/api/public/v1.

  3. 3

    Paste your TokenRex API key.

  4. 4

    Enter an exact model ID, such as anthropic/claude-sonnet-5, save and start a task.

Verify the connection

Start a short chat, then confirm the request appears in your TokenRex Dashboard with the model ID you selected.
